Two great things I heard...but I don't know who said them. You should learn them anyway.

1. Don't confuse temporary with permanent.

It's important for your balance to distinguish between those things in your life that are temporary - both good and bad things - from those which are permanent. You job is temporary so why would you give it more value than time with your children or spouse? Short death and divorce, these relationships matter until we are no longer here. Our jobs are up to someone else (in many ways) but the way we develop our children, now that's forever.

2. Anger is when you punish yourself for someone else's mistake.

This one is extremely important. You are driving down the road and someone cuts you off. You're blood boils and you give them a one finger salute! You are mad from that moment forward. You spill your coffee and it ruins your day. Meanwhile, the person who cut you off in traffic never gave it a second thought. They won.

Anger ruined your day. See?
